Modern era, 1970-present

Cars of the Modern Era were still tanks, until the mid-1980s. But some automakers turned classic curves of the 1950s and ‘60s into sleek racers made famous by TV, movies, and a cartoon about giant, transforming robots called The Transformers.

Modern era

1970 to Present

Interstate highways throughout the United States ushered in longer road trips. The family sedan and SUV offered comfortable driving while the classic sports cars were driven for the simple pleasure of driving.

Many cars from this era are housed in the collection.
